Daily Pelvic Pain Isn’t “Normal”

You Don’t Have to Live With…

The frustration of not being able to run without urinary leakage, the fear of worsening pelvic organ descent (prolapse) with lifting or during long walks, the interruption of plans due to another sensation of a urinary tract infection coming on…

Pelvic floor dysfunction is common, but not normal. Given the wide variety of symptoms related to pelvic health, generic treatment is rarely enough.

Pelvic Physical Therapy

Based On Your Needs

Our one-on-one approach allows treatment to be determined based on exactly what you need, rather than generalized group exercise.

Your treatment program is designed based on clinical findings, patient preference and the relevant anatomy involved rather than a generic protocol.

Your physical therapist has the time and skill-set to treat your pelvic floor within the entire system it lives and works, rather than using isolated kegels or stretching.

Treatment is provided in a calm, private space, not in a loud, crowded gym.

Treatment is always provided, instructed and modified by DR. Antoinette, a licensed physical therapist, rather than an aide juggling multiple patients at once.

What You Should Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

No. Physical Therapists have direct access in Nevada, so you can just contact us.

Can PT still help me if my issue has been going on for years?

Yes. We frequently treat long standing issues that have not yet been given the right assessment and tools.

Can PT help even if medical tests haven’t explained what’s wrong?

Yes! Medical tests can rule out or find causes of certain problems, but they are not always best for explaining symptoms or pain related to nerves and muscles. Your Pelvic PT does their own physical exam.

Should I wait until postpartum to begin PT?

Ideally, no. Pregnancy is one of the best times to start PT because we can address changes as they are happening and prepare your body for birth. We want to decrease risk of birth injury and set the stage for postpartum recovery.

Can PT still help if my doctor says I don’t need Kegels?

Yes. PT is so much more than kegels. Most patients do not need kegels and are successfully treated without them.

If I have already tried PT without success, does that mean my condition is not treatable?

Not all PT is the same, and there are several reasons it may not have worked in the past. Sometimes, it is as simple as finding the right PT for your situation.

What should I wear to PT?

Closed-toed shoes are preferable in case we practice lifting. Other than that, dress for comfort with clothes you can easily move in.

Should I still come if I am on my period?

Yes! If we want to address some of these symptoms, it can be very helpful to get together while they are present. Internal work is always optional and never the only thing we need to work on.

About Floor Fabulous Pelvic PT

Our Philosophy

I opened this practice because I wanted to provide help in a setting exclusively tailored to pelvic health Physical Therapy.

Pelvic Floor struggles can be more than just painful or annoying. It can be challenging trying to tune in to a part of the body that most of us are not told much about until there is a problem, if at all. We are taught not to be vocal about urinary, bowel or sexual challenges. This may lead to embarrassment, shame and isolation from partners and from part of ourselves. It can also lead to withdrawing from activities that once gave us purpose.

My vision is to help women and men of Las Vegas proudly connect with their bodies in spite of challenges that present along the way. Wellness is an ongoing journey and there are strategies and support available to help guide us toward feeling more fabulous in our bodies everyday.
